A love offering to my Trans Sistahs

Dear sistah- friends and lil sis,

I know on this journey, things can be really hard. At times it may feel like experiencing the goodness of the world is far away. It can even be a journey filled with unbearable pain and trauma mixed with the authentic radical joy of self-expression and identity. I want you to know, I see you, I love you, and I honor you.

Here are some things that I wish someone would have told me early on my journey and discovered along the way of my ‘me-ness” Cheers to honoring you...

-DIVEST FROM SEEKING VALIDATION FROM THE TRADES ( Y’all know what I mean!) If he can't be seen with you, care for you, support you, uplift you. Then he ain't for you. Your body is sacred! You are the gift, sis! I also mean divest from accepting toxic masculinity in any shape or form that it presents itself.

-DIVEST FROM SEEKING VALIDATION FROM WOMAN. Manifest the sister circle that will affirm you, and they will appear. If a woman is tearing you down with her comparison to who you are and what you can and cannot do, or any invalidating words, she does not need to be in your life. She has her own-self work to do, and her learning curve & healing does not have to come at the expense of your existence.

-DIVEST FROM BINARY SYSTEMS. This cis-system was never designed for us. Be mindful of dismissing your sister of trans experience next to you because her trans journey does not look like your idea of what womanhood looks like. Unpack & unlearn what you have been taught.

Sis, seeking validation through others create a space for more open wounds. Practicing self-love creates a space for you to set the blueprint of how you require people to treat you and the ways they should follow it accordingly. Practicing Self-love will invite those who truly see you to affirm you!

Remember: You are enough! You are worthy! You are perfectly made and have been graced with the journey of evolving just like any other human. You are a spiritual divine being having a human experience. Live your best life, sis! It is your life.

Inhale & Breathe! And remember GOD loves you because SHE made you.

- Your sister-friend, Nala
